The Power of Solitude

When what feels like depression might actually be the beginning of deep healing.

I want to share a personal story about a time when I thought I was slipping into a dark place — but through solitude and self-connection, I found something completely different: Growth, Peace & Healing.

If you’re feeling lost, unmotivated, or disconnected, this might resonate with you.

A Feeling I Didn’t Understand

When this chapter of my life began,

I didn’t realise what was really happening. I thought I was slipping into depression.

I felt flat, unmotivated, disconnected from everything around me, and unsure of myself. This was before my auntie passed, and it felt like everything inside me and around me was crumbling down.  Looking back, I can see it was the beginning of something entirely different.

What No One Really Knew

At the start, I tried to keep a brave face.

Most people probably just noticed I was less out, quieter or less present,

But inside, I was struggling alone and not really speaking about it.

From “I’m Depressed” to “I’m Healing”

Instead of giving in to that feeling completely, I decided to try something small. I started with affirmations. Little truths I could say to myself each day, even if I didn’t fully believe them yet.

A Breakthrough
Beginning

Then I began journaling. Writing down my thoughts, my feelings, and even the things I couldn’t explain. That’s when it hit me:

This wasn’t depression. This was healing.

It might have been the start of my awakening, or the end of my dark night of the soul — or maybe all of it. I’m still not sure. But I know it was the moment my healing began to unfold.

Grateful for Support

I was lucky to have Stefania, who works with me in my other business IPM. She's been with me from the beginning and understands there were days I couldn’t get out of bed or be at the office. I had to ask Stefania to step in, cover for me, and keep things running as best she could when I couldn’t.

I’m so grateful for her — without that support, I don’t know how I would have managed.

I understand how hard it must be for others going through this without someone to lean on. Running a business or holding down a job while feeling fragile is terrifying. Sometimes people lose everything because they don’t have support or understanding.

Support is 100% essential. If you’re struggling, I hope you find someone to lean on. You don’t have to do it alone.

Discovering the Power of Solitude

The more time I spent in stillness, the more I started to love my own company.  Sometimes, I didn’t even want to go anywhere — I felt so at peace just being with myself.

It was in this space that I began to connect with my angels, guides (they do exist, guys!).

My psychic abilities developed, and I realised something powerful…

Sharing

Being vulnerable is not a weakness.

It’s a doorway to real connection — with yourself, and with life.

Healing

Why Solitude Can Feel Like Depression

For many people, being alone is uncomfortable.

When the distractions disappear, we’re left with all the feelings we've been running from.

If we’ve been avoiding ourselves for years, solitude can feel scary, even painful.

We might think we’re “losing it”

When really, we’re just meeting ourselves for the first time.  That’s what happened to me.

What I first felt it was depression was actually an opportunity for me to stop running, to listen, and connect with myself, my inner child, and my shadow.

Awakening

An Invitation for You

If you’re feeling withdrawn or unmotivated right now, ask yourself…

Is this the end of something, or the beginning?

Try journaling.

Spend time in nature.

Sit quietly.

Allow yourself to be vulnerable.

Because sometimes, the very thing you fear most...

Being alone — is the space where your greatest growth will happen.

How Honohono Healing Fits In

When you’re in this tender, open state

Your body and mind are more willing to release what’s been stored for years.

That’s why Honohono can be so powerful at this stage

The blockages, the old traumas, the emotional weight…

It’s all sitting close to the surface, ready to be let go.

When someone isn’t ready, their mind and body will often resist.

It can take much longer to release.

But in the power of solitude, when you’re already meeting yourself honestly,

Healing can move faster and deeper.
